India Sports Equity Foundation launches its own blog http//:voisports.blogspot.com.

ISEF seized the initiative at the felicitation ceremony of the new Badshah of Delhi, Mr. Rakesh Mehta, Chief Secretary, by making a sporty request to declare the first Sunday of the Olympic year 2008 ( which is 1000 days to go for Commonwealth Games 2010) as Delhi Sport's Day.

If Delhi can celebrate the Valentine's Day, the Father's Day, Mother-in-Law's day, Friendship day, then why not the SPORTS DAY!!

VOICE OF INDIAN SPORTS

"How many of you are aware of the existence of a village of 2000 inhabitant, Sansarpur, in Jalandhar,Punjab?
You may be shocked to know that this village has produced 14 Olympic Hockey gold medallists.Leave aside an astro turf, the village does not even have its own hockey ground. It uses the Army ground on the outskirts of the village"

--H.P. Singh "Rishi"-janmbhoomi Sansarpur--

Voice of Indian Sports is an initiative by a group of vibrant individuals of 16-80 from various fields but sharing a common bond of sports. It is an off shoot of India Sports Equity Foundation(ISEF) founded by a fifty years young man at heart "H.P. Singh "Rishi"for whom Sports is a passion.

Our aim is to create a galvanising effect for Indian sports , give it a new meaning and dress it up like a bride by Commonwealth Games 2010.

ISEF will revitalise, reenergise and change the macro canvas of Indian sports through the scintillating power of the internet.

Our goal is to create a magic in Indian sports together as a team consisting of people not just from ISEF but the nation as a whole. It is an initiative to bring forth the voice of those outstanding athletes that are left unheard in a country as large as ours. An intitative that will see the people of the country getting involved to promote and back the sportsmen of the country and not just be a mere audience but active participants. An initiative to bring about the harsh facts of the Indian Sports fraternity that has been captured by an entertainment game, not a sport. Do I need to name it?

This blog is an effort to create an awareness among the people of this country. An effort to break the shackles and be the executioner to bring about the required change. This blog will see that involvement of the people at large takes place and that the voices are heard. Our voice will go to the supposed Czars of Indian Sports and various Sports federations of the country.Yes, we are here for a change and to orchestrate a Jihad(struggle) of Sports.

A good effort was made by the film Chak de, but alas, it could not change the fate of Hockey, ironically, the National game of India. The rhetorical question we pose is how many audience who saw Chak De got seduced by it and got hooked to hockey? How many parents sent their children to the hockey fields after seeing the movie?

Just as Japan used the 1964 Tokyo Olympics as a launching pad for its economic success story , just as China is using the 2008 Beijing Olympics to showcase to the world that it has arrived, India has a historic opportunity of using the 2010 Commonwealth Games to showcase its economic and sporty might to the world.

We shall strive to bring all news related to the sportsmen of the country along with their challenges, not problems and the loopholes in the system. So today i.e. 1st of January 2008, we pledge to be the Voice of Indian Sports- A voice that will be heard. We pledge to be a Voice that is yours and ours , i.e, India's voice.
